The Extra Mile: Moonlight in Vermont

Vermont was a breath of fresh air, and anyone looking for a change of pace and scenery should definitely visit. We stayed near Wilmington, VT, a destination well known for its winter snow resorts. Airbnb hosts several homes where you can stay for the weekend and take in the local activities. Vermont is literally the middle of nowhere, so we swapped phone coverage for snow covering, and we lost all sense of direction in addition to Jess’s cell phone in the patchy dunes. Our search party lasted about an hour, and luckily we found her phone not too far from where we were staying.

So today, as snow falls in Texas, and the country faces deep freeze temperatures coast to coast, cozy up to the sounds of one of my favorite tunes by Stan Getz, and savor a warm fire in a dimly lit room.
